Such a lovely place for all ages honestly. No matter the weather there’s always something to do. Whether you’re feeling productive or chill, the area is perfect for sitting and just enjoying a meal. You can watch as the world continues to move while you’re taking a couple minutes to rest. You gather your energy while around you, a dog runs after a squirrel while still attached to their leash, or the girl who is on a picnic is taking pictures, or hearing the rings of the bicycles that you can rent a few blocks away. So much is going on and it’s so liberating knowing other people are out there doing their own thing and living their own life. It could be a perfect day

Family, date, friends, tourist all wrapped up in one. Such a fun filled environment! People are so friendly in the green. Food trucks are available, plenty of open space for ball toss, nice soft playground for children and the water spouts for free water fun! The kayaks after super cute! Live music, it’s just great for any occasion and ambience

What a pleasant park that contains several activities depending of the season. I happened to come by during the Autumn season where they have a display for Hispanic heritage for the Day of the Dead showcasing the famous Sugar Skull displays which each of its own decorative meaning. Their open space is big to either come in during the day and have a picnic or just to enjoy some time with the kids, partner or pets.

This place is amazing and a must see. I was aware this space existed for over 10 years and simply never made the time to come down and see it. It was finally this art exhibition that lit a fire under me and got me to get tickets and come on down. I must say that the art and music was only 5 or 10 percent of the joy from today’s visit. Most of my astounding GawdAMighty experience comes from just the awe inspiring empty space and the quarter mile walk around the perimeter of the cistern. I love the space, the feelings, the sounds and the beautiful shadows.

Parking was not a problem.

I loved it here. It was very cool hearing our voices echo for so long in the cistern. The optical illusion cause by the water reflection is fascinating. The guide who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful singing voice. I am definitely returning to see the art installations. I will also be visiting the park to ride my bicycle on the trails.

This is something nice to do to kill a bit of time. We did the art tour, took some interesting pictures and danced to some interesting music. Overall I wouldn’t come back, but I’m glad I went.

This is a pretty cool place. I’m sure it’s definitely better in the summer when you can play in the water. The infrastructure is awesome and the park is pretty. There’s not much to do other than stare up at the cascading water and circle around the park. It’s kind of a one-time deal for us and I don’t think we’d make it a destination stop again, but it’s pretty and worth seeing once.

Pretty nice place. Water falls looks real so don’t get too close. You get a pretty large area for hanging out or having outdoor activities with friends and family. Ideal for a picnic. You should visit it then make your own experience.

I love this place but there’s absolutely no visitor parking or signage for where you can park for like 30 minutes to an hour just to take some photos and hang out for a hot minute so we ended up parking at the Galleria and walking four blocks down the street just so we had the peace of mind that our car was safe… the fountain is beautiful it’s mesmerizing absolutely must go and see

Nice Garden that’s a part of the collection at Hermann Park. Came on an early Sunday morning, it was very quiet and not crowded at all. You enter to a nice set of head sculptures before arriving to the Mount. The Mount is a nice spiral walk up a little hill that has a waterfall until you reach the top. Once at the top, you have a nice view of the Garden, but also of other parts of Hermann Park. The Garden had a nice vegetable and flower garden you could casually walk around. There is also a pavilion where looks like they offer free classes to the public. This was a nice free Garden to see how to properly grow various vegetables and flowers.

One of the cool place to be at middle of hustle midtown. If you love being at nature and you are at the Houston, it is a must go place. The artificial water fall at the end of green grasses looks so charming. If you are looking for some amazing pictures, wedding shoot or any kind of photography this is the place to be. Photos at place usually looks great on a sunny day. But be careful during the during the weekends as it usually gets busier and you need to be tooo lucky to find a parking spot.

The park is beautifully maintained. There are so many spots you can take pictures in or not if you’re just going for a stroll.
I’ve seen rose bushes galore, agave plants, and what I think are chaste trees. There are so many other plants but I’m not a horticulturist so there’s that.

This is the first time I’ve seen a park where entire buildings have been moved so that visitors may wander around to view them and learn about their history. I liked it very much. The houses and they’re stories are interesting and lovely. I recommend listening to the audio guide for the houses you’re interested in. Even though we didn’t get to tour the interiors, we still enjoyed the experience.

A smaller aquarium, but still quite nice. There are many species of fish and also a few reptiles, insects, and even a tiger.

The habitats seem good for most of the Animals. The tiger area might be a bit small for that big guy however.

There is an interactive section where you can touch some stingrays which is pretty cool.

There’s also some amusement park rides out back.

Overall, it’s a small but well maintained aquarium doing good with the space they have. A nice place to spend an afternoon with your family.

First of all, I loved the fish here. They have some adorable/interesting fish and I love that the aquarium is on a walking/biking trail so you can explore downtown. However, I can’t help but feel like some of the tanks here were too small. We saw one medium sized eel in a tank slightly larger than the length of his body. The tiger was neat but seemed very out of place for an aquarium. We went on a Wednesday and it was decently packed so I couldn’t imagine attending on a weekend. No one checked our tickets to enter. There are very few digital signs to explain the fish you’re looking at. The restaurants prices are incredibly overpriced. It is $16 for a burger and you have to pay extra to upgrade from kettle chips to fries. The burger was one of the least expensive items on the menu. For being so expensive, the restaurant felted very outdated. The fish tank view was nice though. We had a gift voucher from a relative but we made sure to use it up because we definitely will not be back.

My first time here, and a very bad weather which makes all outdoor events canceled, but it was still a great experience. Enjoyed all the indoor views. So many fishes of different species, most I’ve never heard before! Showing the greatness and beauty of God. The staff there were very nice. Great customer service. I loved our visit. Great place.

The park is beautiful and so are the trails here. It’s like a serene environment amidst the noise in the city. There are so many trees here that it feels very pleasant and there is almost always a cool breeze in the evening.

They have trails especially meant for running 🏃‍♂️ & walking ðŸšķ‍♀️. They are not the asphalt trails, thus, you can walk/run for longer here compared to other trails.

Memorial Park has had a massive upgrade during the last few years. The new pond, decks over wetland (with placards) and airings parking have leveled up this park. The new plantings in the Glades section are just beautiful and create lovely green spaces for rest and relaxation. I’ve also enjoyed the food trucks under the pretty string lights in the trees. Great for a walk, big or run with family and friends.

One of my favorite places in all of Houston. The eastern glade updates are really nice and especially beautiful at night. Love that the park loop is an exact 3 miles around. I cant wait for the next updates. Thank you, Houston for making parks more of a priority, it definitely increases the quality of life. 🙂

Beautiful fountain. Enjoyable to see while driving or running/walking on a nearby path. It is very difficult to get it close as you have to cross traffic in a roundabout to get there. There are also no crosswalks to get right up to it, which makes timing walking across the street difficult. However, if you do want to get up to it, it is a beautiful area for some really cool shots. Whether you were taking pictures with people in front of the fountain, the background buildings, or just the pretty clouds and the picturesque Hermann Park in the background, this is a great place for photography. It’s also quite refreshing to hear the soothing sounds of the water fountain as you are running in the nearby areas. This is likely not a spot that you will see on purpose, but will drive by and recognize it.

Very well maintained and planned. Lots of activities. It has good amount of parking space and it’s free. I was able to find parking all the time. You can walk to the Museum and zoo or to the Japanese garden.

There are public washrooms in the park and it’s well maintained. If you find time enjoy the toy train or boating 🙂

Plenty of walk paths and benches.

This is one of the best parks in Houston. I love this place so much. It has most scenic views, paddle boats, water fountains, train, open theatre what not! The most energetic and relaxing space for peace of mind. You can watch the ducks and tortoises near the water fountain. A good place to spend time with nature in this busy city.

Hermann Park… heart of Houston! It’s an amazing park – good for all ages. Kids can play around all day along. Elders can set a simple and beautiful picnic.

It hosts a majestic lake next to Houston Zoo. Wherein, you can do a family paddle boat ride or even seat besides the bank to enjoy the lake view.

Hermann Park also holds the beautiful Hermann Park train ride (kids’ favorite), Miller Outdoor Theater 🎭 (with its beautiful hill and majestic triangular roof) , Japanese Garden ðŸŠī and many more attractions in the vicinity of the Museum District!

If you work in this area, it’s a convenient way to travel and not have to sweat from the Houston heat by walking outside (or avoid any of the bad weather). But if you don’t work in this area and you’re just checking it out, it’s quite underwhelming. It’s just a bunch of fast food places and restaurants along with some specialty shops scattered throughout. The tunnels have a very unique and interesting history however. And the tunnels are marked by colors to help you not get lost. Without a map and a color coded one at that, who knows where you’d be when you exit one of the tunnels.

It is clean and nice here; however after talking with one of the only shop owners that were open, I was told that nearly all of the shops have closed due to the pandemic, and those that are open usually close early due to lack of business. We were his only sale of the day, near closing time. It is unlikely they will return anytime in the near future. What a sad situation. There used to be lots of great restaurants, and a few shops. What a neat novelty for the Downtown area! But now it is not worth visiting.

The downtown tunnels are great for getting around without being exposed to the Houston weather. There are a few areas that feel run down or not of an appropriate size. That’s the problem with each building designing their own section of the tunnels.

Nice place to have a small picnic but not much of a play area for small kids. However it is adjacent to the skate park. So good for older kids that can skate. We had a company meet and greet here and it was perfect for that. THERE WERE NO MOSQUITOS!! So the City is doing a great job with keeping it sprayed!
